Centrally located for the 7 stanes mountain bike centres and on a national cycling byway, it is ideal for cyclists as well as walkers, fishing enthusiasts and families. The Galloway activity centre and Loch Ken water ski club are only a few miles away on the banks of Loch Ken. The hoilday properties are situated on an unclassified road in a quiet and very peaceful rural situation just 3 miles from St John's Town of Dalry. The pretty village has a charming main street of mainly painted harled houses and a range of convenience stores, a post offfice, bank (restricted opening times) and a hotel.

The area is rich in wild life. The loch attracts Swans, Grey Lag Geese, Grey Herons and is home to two Great Crested Grebes. We also have a local Barn Owl that frequents our garden. There are Eagles, Buzzards, Red Squirrels, Red Dear and even Stoats. The ‘Galloway Red Kite Trail’ around Lock Ken is only a few miles away

The views from the house are magnificant and there is an abundance of wild life on the doorstep. The accomodation is finished to a very high standard with ensuite bathrooms, steam room, TV's and MP3 speakers in bedrooms. There are three bedrooms; master bedroom ensuite and two twin bedrooms with jack & Jill bathroom.

Lochinvar Cottage is a lovely restored stone built cottage also situated on the banks of the loch. There are two bedrooms, one double and one with bunk beds and a single with pullout bed underneath. Immediately in front of the cottage is a fabulous brick built barbecue area offering wonderful views over the loch.

There is an abundance of natural heritage and wildlife, interesting arts and crafts, beautiful gardens, museums and visitor centres, places of historic interest and plenty to entertain the children both indoors and out.
